Board & Train
ECK9 Board & Train offers an immersive educational experience for your dog. During this program, your dog will live in the home with a professional trainer. The program features structured learning sessions, field trips, outings, and relaxation time. Our board & train is structured to the individual needs of the client. There are 3 follow up private training sessions to integrate the training in the owner’s home.

 

Strong Start Puppy: This program sets a solid foundation and training principles in puppies from 12 weeks to 4 months old. The puppy works on potty training, intro to heel (loose leash walking), sit, down, into to recall (come), place, stay, kennel boundaries, desensitization and socialization.

ECK9 BT 1: ECK9 On Leash program is designed to cover the basics of on leash obedience, public manners and at home manners. This is open to friendly dogs 5 months and older. In this program we work on heel (loose leash walking), recall (come), sit, down, place, down stay, sit stay, leave it, threshold boundaries, kennel boundaries, and public manners.

ECK9 BT 2: The ECK9 Off Leash program is designed to take your dogs skills to the next level. The dog will learn to perform the obedience skills from on leash obedience in an off leash setting. E-collar is used in off leash training. This program is open to dogs who have successfully completed the On Leash Obedience program.

Behavior Modification/Rehabilitation: This program is designed specifically for dogs that have behavioral issues such as but not limited to… dog aggression, human aggression, barrier aggression, bite history, severe separation anxiety, extreme shyness and more. We will work on counter conditioning, setting up boundaries, creating expectations and working on obedience inside and outside the home. We work on heel (loose leash walking), recall (come), sit, down, place, down stay, sit stay, leave it, threshold boundaries, kennel boundaries, and public manners.

4 Weeks: $3800

Private Training

Private training is a fully customizable training program where you meet one-on-one with a trainer in your home, place of work, public area, or a variety of settings. In between sessions you are given training homework to complete. Homework usually takes 20 minutes once to twice a day. This program is designed to address the specific needs of the client as well as on leash and/or off leash obedience training.  

 

ECK9 P1: This 5 week program teaches you and your dog the basics of on leash obedience and is customized for your training needs. You will bond with your dog as you teach them recall (come), sit, down, down stay, loose leash walking (heel), place, threshold boundaries for home and kennel and place. We will meet one on one for an hour where I will work with you and your dog.

ECK9 P2: This 4 week program takes your dog from on leash to off leash obedience. It takes the knowledge you gained while in ECK9 P1 and progresses you forward to advanced commands, off leash work, advanced verbal and hand signals. We will meet for an hour a week where I will teach you and your dog advanced communication and commands. This will include meeting in home and high distraction areas. You must commit to working with your pet for minimum of 30 minutes once to twice a day in-between sessions.

ECK9 GROUP TRAINING

Group training offers many benefits to both clients and their dogs and is an affordable option for training. We offer many types of group training to fit the needs of our clients.  Group is open to all dogs 4 months old plus who are fully vaccinated. Group is not suitable for those with severe behavioral issues such as unmanaged aggression. Owners are responsible for providing training collars, leashes, etc. A supply list will be provided. 

 

ECK9 OB 1 GROUP: This group class runs for 6 weeks and covers basic on leash obedience. This is an on leash obedience class where you and your dog will deepen your bond and learn loose leash walking (heel), sit, down, stay, recall (come), proper socializing behavior, and so much more! You will be given the AKC CGC exam at the end of your training and upon successful completion receive your AKC CGC Certificate!

ECK9 SERVICE DOG TRAINING

This group class is for those with an ADA Disability that will benefit from a task trained service dog. You will learn about the ADA Service Dog Laws and regulations. While the ADA does not require certification, many other countries do require public access testing and certification. Our objective it to provide affordable and thorough service dog training. Tasks taught are geared to your specific needs such as PTSD/CPTSD, anxiety, diabetic alert, cardiac alert, seizure alert, and more. You will be asked to provide us with your disability and tasks that will aid with your disability. At the end of T1 your will take your AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test. At the end of T2 you will take your AKC Canine Good Citizen Urban (CGCU) test. At the end of T3 you will take your ECK9 Public Access test. Upon successful completion of your exams and training, you will receive your certificates for CGC, CGCU and ECK9PA. You will also receive a certificate demonstrating the successful completion of Service Dog Training. All certificates and awards will be given at graduation. Owners are responsible for providing training collars, leashes, treats, etc. A supply list will be provided. 

 

ECK9 TIER 1 SERVICE: Tier 1 will start at the park and move to pet friendly stores and restaurants. You will work on obedience (heel, sit, down, stay, place, come) in a variety of situations. Your dog will learn a focus command, head down and leave it command. You will also learn 1-2 tasks that pertain to your specific needs. At the end you will take your AKC CGC exam.

6 Weeks $750

 

ECK9 TIER 2 SERVICE: Tier 2 will build upon all that was learned in Tier 1. The outing for this class will take place in several locations and non-pet friendly stores, airport, grocery stores, etc. You will further your task training with distractions and add additional tasks as needed. Obedience with multiple distractions will be taught. Proper restaurant behavior will be taught.  At the end of this training, you will be given the AKC CGCU exam.

ECK9 TIER 3 SERVICE: This is the final and last training for the service dog program. You will deepen your connection with your SDIT (service dog in training), visit many non-dog friendly stores, events, etc. You will further test your task and obedience training under multiple situations and stresses. This class will prepare you to take the ECK9PA (public access) test and earn your certificate. Upon successful completion of tier 3 you will graduate with a fully trained service dog and certificates. You will receive a special certificate of Service Dog Training.

Additional Services

 

Boarding: We offer boarding to our clients who have successfully completed one of our programs. Owners must provide food for the dog. 

Cost: $60/day
